Start
Francois Gourdon founds Environnement S.A. in response to the acid rain crisis, developing the first-ever environmental measurement instruments shortly after.
1978

1990
François Gourdon is awarded the French Legion of Honour for his efforts in environmental preservation.
2000
Hundreds of continuous emission monitoring systems are deployed across France to support incineration plants in complying with the 2000 Waste Incineration Directive.
2004-2005
Envea lands on the stock market. François Gourdon is awarded the French National Order of Merit by the Minister of the Environment, Nelly Olin, who said: “We’ve always wanted to oppose economics and ecology – but this company has proven that both go hand in hand.”
2006
ENVEA’s new series of environmentally friendly and connected air quality monitors win the Oxygen Award, a prize devoted to tackling air quality issues in the world’s major cities, at COP 21 in Paris.
2014
The company rebrands to ENVEA as part of its 40th anniversary, uniting its global technologies, production sites, and sales subsidiaries under one banner.
Envea pledges its re-commitment to the French Business Climate Pledge initiative, reaffirming the need to collectively change course by accelerating innovation and R&D through investments in low-carbon solutions.
