Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Finance Manager India is a member of the group Finance Team and will lead the Indian Finance Team whilst working with the Global Management team. Reporting to the Global Group Financial Controller this role will oversee the financial management for India and take on projects with operational responsibilities. The Finance Manager India will be expected to be involved in all areas of the business to understand the financial impact of decisions that are made and to ensure that these decisions are reflected in the reporting of financial information. The role is a management role leading, directing and supporting the local India Finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Management and Operational
• To be the leader in financial transformation and to implement efficiency changes within finance and the wider business
• To coach and manage an effective Finance Team
• To support the business from a finance perspective for operational projects

Financial Accounting
• To manage the production of accurate and timely monthly financial reports for the companies in line with the Group table and accounting policies
• To analyse the management accounts supported and report on variances and risks to both the local management and the group finance team
• To manage cash flow for the organisation
• Manage all aspects of financial bookkeeping
• Manage the Accounts Receivable process to Envea Standards
• Manage the Accounts Payable process to Envea Standards
• To manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external advisors and auditors
• To ensure that all statutory responsibilities in respect of the entities are adhered to
• To provide information to department heads to help them manage the financial implications of their departments
• Work with the India Public Accountants, responsible for all statutory returns and Tax and associated submissions with Tax authorities and other statutory India bodies to ensure that the company is compliant with for all statutory obligations
• Manage external audits with India statutory bodies for tax compliance

Financial Systems
• Work with Group Finance to ensure that Group financial systems are appropriate for the local business and statutory requirements and the Group structure
• To drive forward change in the local business and systems processes.
• To ensure that all processes within the organisation are operated to Group standard and performed in the most efficient manner

Financial Budgeting Forecasting
• Work with the department managers and site managers, assist with the Budgeting process to provide an India Entity budget to Group
• Work with the department managers and site managers prepare quarterly forecasts in accordance to Group as required

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience of leading a Finance Office and Team
  • Effective communication skills, spoken, written and presentation skills

  • Fluent English is Essential

Travel

The role is based at the India Head office in Navi Mumbai but travel to the regional sites in India offices may be required. There could be occasional travel other Envea Offices as required.
